MEET

GREG

Greg grew up in LaMoure, ND, and attended LaMoure High School. He began his career as a mathematics teacher and men’s basketball coach, eventually becoming the winningest head coach in Southwest Minnesota State University’s history. After nearly a decade in college athletics, Greg worked for Sanford Health as a medical recruiter before transitioning into banking and finance.

Greg currently serves as the State Representative for District 27 and has been an active member of the North Dakota House since 2021. In addition to his legislative work, he is a broadcast analyst for college basketball with WDAY and Midco Sports.

Greg has served his community in multiple leadership roles, including the Fort Ransom City Commission, the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education—where he was Vice Chair from 2017 to 2018—the North Dakota Veterans’ Home Governing Board, serving as Vice Chair from 2018 to 2020, and currently as an appointed member of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Board. He also serves on the board of the Homeward Animal Shelter, supporting critical services for animals and families across the region.

His background in education includes earning a BS in Mathematics Education from Valley City State University and an MS in Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University. Greg has a daughter, Taylor, who is a senior at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK.
